jeden.day – habit tracker
A Productive alternative without the subscription
Productive is one of the most downloaded habit apps on iOS and Android: habits by time of day, smart and location-based reminders, streaks, statistics and global challenges, behind a free-trial-then-subscription model from Bending Spoons. Its App Store privacy label also lists data used to track you across other companies' apps. If you want the habit grid and neither the subscription nor the tracking, here is what jeden.day does.
What Productive is
Productive, by Bending Spoons, is a habit tracker for iPhone, iPad, Apple Watch, Mac and Android. Habits repeat daily, weekly or monthly, on specific days, and can recur several times a day, grouped into morning, afternoon and evening. It has a timer, streaks, statistics, time- and location-based reminders, pause and stop, and challenges with other users. The free tier is limited; subscriptions unlock unlimited habits and the rest.
Why people look for an alternative
The subscription, first: a habit list of any size is a recurring cost. The privacy label, second: Productive declares purchases, contact information and device identifiers used for tracking across apps, and usage and location data linked to you. A habit record is personal, and many people would rather it were not in that pipeline.
Third, the nudging. Productive is built to motivate — challenges, streak celebrations, reminders — and some people want a record that is quiet.
How jeden.day is different
It is currently free with no tier, collects nothing beyond what you record, has no ads and no third-party analytics, and works without an account. The grid is one row per habit and one column per day, with the streak beside the name; there are no challenges, no celebrations and no messages.
Schedules include quotas per week or month, chosen weekdays, every N days, days of the month, and totals summed over a period. Limits carry an allowance, including days over a daily limit. Measurable habits take a typed number against a target. Sign-in, when you want sync, is an emailed link or code and then a passkey.
What Productive has that jeden.day does not
Reminders, including location-based ones; native apps with widgets and a Watch app; a timer; several times a day for one habit; challenges with other people; and a great deal of motivational design. If being nudged is what makes a habit stick for you, Productive is built around that and jeden.day deliberately is not.

Questions
Does jeden.day have challenges or a community?
No. Each account is one person's record.
What does jeden.day collect?
For an account, your email address and what you record. Site-wide, aggregate daily counters with no identifiers. No ads, no third-party analytics, no tracking across apps.
Can I log a habit several times a day?
Not as separate check-ins. A measurable habit does the job: "8 glasses of water" as an amount, added to through the day with the Add switch.
